In terms of name, industrial connectors are used in non-life connectors, that is, in industrial environment. Because there are many kinds of industries, each of which has a different use environment, compared with the very harsh environment, it is difficult for ordinary connectors to achieve the purpose of normal working connection, so we have updated and used new connectors, which are collectively called industrial connectors. Then compared with the original connectors, industrial connectors not only have advantages in quality, but also have protection levels for different environmental severity. Many people can't understand what the numbers on industrial connectors represent, so please read on.
We often see a value about protection on industrial connectors, such as IP67 and IP68. At present, the grade of industrial connectors in China has reached IP67. Two of the numbers mean the level of dust protection and the level of waterproof. Let's start with the dust-proof grade. The numerical value includes 0-6, where 0 means that the connector has no protective effect, and 1 means that objects over 50 mm can be prevented from entering the interior of the connector. The higher the grade, the smaller the volume of the object. The second grade prevents objects of 12.5mm from invading, the third grade prevents objects of 2.5mm from invading, the fourth grade prevents objects of 1mm from invading, and the fifth grade connector means that it can withstand certain objects from entering without affecting the interior. The six-level protection of grade * * can completely prevent objects of any size from entering the connector.
There are eight waterproof grades of industrial connectors, including 0-8, and the protection grade of 0 represents no protective effect at all. The protection level of 1 can prevent water drops falling vertically from entering the connector; Level 2 can prevent the shell from tilting to 15 degrees, and the vertically falling water drops should not cause harmful effects on the vertical planes of the shell when they tilt within 15 degrees; Level 3 can prevent the connector from being drenched by water and water drops from entering it; Grade 4 can prevent water from splashing on the shell from any direction without harmful effects; Grade 5 can prevent water from spraying on the shell from any direction without causing harmful effects; Grade 6 can prevent strong water spraying; Level 7 can be completely immersed in water, but at present, the level of protection level * * is used. Then users can purchase industrial connectors with reference to this value to avoid unnecessary losses.
